Badges

You name it, we’ve got a badge for it – over 200 of them actually. Scouts work together on badges at their weekly meetings, away at camps and events, or at home. Badges are easy to earn, and you don’t need anyone special to sign them off.

There’s never any pressure to do badges. Scouts can do as many or as few as they like.

There are loads of exciting badges to aim for, such as the Chief Scout’s BronzeSilver and Gold Awards. These are the highest awards that Beavers, Cubs and Scouts can earn.

And for those going even further, the King’s Scout Award is the top achievement for young people in Scouts.

More information on the types of badges can be found on the Scouts website

When your young person moves from section to section the Staged Activity Badges, such as Hikes Away and Community Impact can be transferred to their new uniform and Activity Badges can be saved on a camp blanket or kit bag. Activity Badges are unique to each section and do not get transferred. We’ll also issue occasional badges for camps and events and the leaders will let them know if these are for temporary use on the uniform or for blankets.

Here are the details of where all those badges go.
